The Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or (meaning "nectar of gold") spends 10 years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, and then it is matured for another two years in casks from Sauternes, the most famous and ancient sweet wine growing region in France. This gives the Glenmorangie's whisky rich, spicy and dessert-like flavors.

The Nectar D'Or is full of rich aromas, carrying scents of lime and orange rind, sultana raisins and dates along with spices of cocoanut and nutmeg. The taste is a burst of flavors, offering hints of ginger, nutmeg, toasted almonds and honeycomb. The finish is long and sweet with just a slight tone of lemon zest.
